Coronal Mass Ejection
Catalog: M2M_CATALOG
Start Time: 2024-08-08T20:00Z ( SOHO: LASCO/C2 )
All Detecting Spacecrafts:
SOHO: LASCO/C2
SOHO: LASCO/C3
STEREO A: SECCHI/COR2
Activity ID: 2024-08-08T20:00:00-CME-001 (version 2)
Source Location: S05W25
Active Region Number: 13777
Note Keyword:
GAP: Data gap
HAL: Halo CME
Source Signature Keyword:
FLR: Flare
OFL: Moving/Opening field lines
EUVW: EUV Wave
Morphology Keyword:
FS: Flux Rope and Shock Candidate
Note: Halo CME first seen by SOHO LASCO C2 beginning at 2024-08-08T20:00Z, as well as in later frames by C3 and STEREO A COR2. The beginning of this event is not seen in STEREO A COR2 due to a data gap from 2024-08-08T19:38Z to 2024-08-08T22:53Z. The source of this CME is an X1.3 class flare from AR 3777 (S05W25) that peaked at 2024-08-08T19:36Z. This flare can be seen clearly in SDO AIA 94 and 131, along with an EUV wave seen in SDO AIA 193 and 211. Resulting field line opening is also visible in SDO AIA 171 and GOES SUVI 284.

The List of CME Analysis already entered:
Event Type Catalog
Measurement TypeCME measurement type: Leading Edge (LE), Shock Front (SH), Right Hand Boundary (RHB), Left Hand Boundary (LHB), Black/White Boundary (BW), Prominence Core (COR), Disconnection Front (DIS), Trailing Edge (TE).
Prime?"primary flag" which is either True or False. If there are multiple CME analysis entries for a single CME, this flag would indicate which analysis is considered most accurate per measurement type. This is a helpful flag if you would like to download only one most accurate CME analysis per CME per Measurement Type
